Base Camp
We start and end all our orange river rafting trips from our base camp. Our base camp is on the banks of the orange river and provides an excellent haven for all our campers and visitors to the richtersveldnational park.

From Johannesburg |
| Take the N7 north past Springbok towards the border post of
Namibia & South Africa at Vioolsdrift. At the border post
you turn Left and drive parallel with the Orange River for 22
km until you see the sign Umkulu base camp. At the umkulu base camp
sign you turn right for 800m to our base camp. |
You take the Trans Kalahari road past Upington towards Springbok,
at Springbok you take the N7 towards Vioolsdrift and follow
the same procedures as specified for Cape Town directions on
the left. |
